The World Debating Champion
There was entertainment and drama galore as the Scotland team won the World Debating Championships. The team, captained by Speak With Impact Director, Gavin Brown, travelled to Las Vegas, USA, to capture the world crown.
The competition was organised by Junior Chamber International and was tied in with their annual World Congress, which attracted over 4,000 delegates to the MGM Grand Hotel.
The Scottish team battled hard in the early rounds to end up in the final against the current English champions. They saved their best performance for the final and destroyed the ‘Auld Enemy’ in spectacular fashion.
